Favorite Pictures of 2025

With 2025 coming to an end, we wanted to look back on the year and our favorite pictures of the year.   It has been an interesting year to say the least.  While Ted has been doing photography for years, it is still new to me.   I have learned a LOT since I got started only a few months ago.

Teds two favorite pictures he took this year are of the trees with a sunburst at mt Lemmon as well as a snowy egret at one of the local ponds.    He likes the egret because it is very peaceful looking.  It is also one of the early trips we did with his new camera and getting to play with a larger telephoto lens.

He decided his other favorite was of the tree because he liked the silhouette.

My favorites were VERY hard to narrow down to two images.    I had many I really loved some of them great achievements.  But with this being my first year in photography I feel like while it may not be my best wildlife shot; it must be my favorite as it started it all!   The squirrel at mt Lemmon will always be one of my favorite pictures even though it could be improved in many ways and I have taken much better since.

I think the next one would have to be along the same lines.   We got married almost 5 years ago at the Savoy Opera House at trail dust town.   We recently went back to Trail Dust Town to eat as the pancake house there together and we wandered the grounds taking pictures.    It was a wonderful walk down memory lane and it was the place we were married and solidified our connection.   A connection that after 8+ years together would lead to us doing photography together!   This statue showing a bit of history is located right outside the Savoy Opera House in Trail Dust Town.
